So, piecing together various sources, it seems the trialists we have are: Sonko - big, nasty centre half with championship and premier league experience Friend (versatile left back/centre half who can cover midfield) - Donny's player of the year with a few years Championship experience Hogan - midfielder from Stocksbridge who once played for Rochdale Folan - big, pacey striker with premier league and championship experience. We also have two other midfielders on trial, is that right? Including one who is meant to be 'creative' (Martin)? If so, that does give me some confidence that the management are looking for the right positions, and on the whole at the right 'type' of players. I'm not certain that ANY would be great signings, but each one COULD be very good ones. That's excepting Hogan of course, who I know absolutely nothing about (like the majority of others I guess), but who will no doubt be the most talked about of all these triallists.
Friend? He's just signed for Middlesbrough. I think you mean Simon Gillett. Martin and the Greek lad have left us now.
Aye, I did - thanks! Didn't know the others had left either. I'm still reassured slightly that he's looking for the right positions.
There's a post below says that he was. Again, not saying I wanted him as such, but a player with his attributes and a few more goals in him would be lovely.
