Anyone else witness the fighting outside the ground near the coaches . Not a policeman in sight Got to say it was the burnley fans who started this. Most barnsley fans did well to not get involved
Yep, burnley fans were disgusting to be fair, not sure what their problem was, but definitely didn't feel safe!
Burnley is not somewhere I'm comfortable with. I remember getting there late one year and having to park some way from the ground in a temporary car park. I'd gone on my own and was **** scared walking back to the car. Jus prayed no one spoke to me as my accent was distinctive to say the least!
It's s complete **** hole I parked in cricket ground and to be fair they we're very welcoming But after the game it was a totally different story Not something I wAnted my son to see
I don't want to be casting aspersions mate, but you don't half seem to enjoy posting about football violence.
It was a group of Burnley fans who were looking for trouble. They had congregated up the road to town centre. They were not young either, so they had planned trouble
Biggest set of cowards I've seen. 2 Barnsley lads stood there surrounded by about 20 Burnley scum. A couple of lads were stood spitting at them, the most disgusting thing you can do in my opinion. Then another bloke took a running punch at the Barnsley lad from behind which was nice of him.
Ye I enjoy seeing my son frightened at a football match I thought this needed to be said , seen as though this happened at football match involving BFC
What really fooks me off regarding things like this..........is hearing that Barnsley fans just sit on a coach or stand around watching while some of their fellow fans are out numbered 10 to 1 and consequently get kicked all over the street I often wonder how the lads in the trenches ever won that war with a weak attitude such as this Could some posters just watch what they are posting here..........because comments they are making can make them look like limp wristed Munchkins
Trouble at Burnley is no surprise to me at all. The town has a bad chav reputation and they clearly like living up to this. Let's be fair, Barnsley (in generalised mode) is no Monte Carlo........but Burnley takes the biscuit. **** HOLE of the highest order.
i think he makes a good point to be honest, 2 coaches full of blokes, and two lads are allowed to be singled out and beat upon, for no apparent reason, all it would have taken is for everyone to get off the buses and show a united stand and there would have been no violence at all because they would have looked like 20 Forest Gumps in the distance but instead 2 Barnsley fans are waking up this morning looking like they've been in a world title fight and lost, i'm not condoning violence but these bullies wouldn't have been picking people out if everyone had been stuck together imo, as for the place its self i've said for some time you can tell a lot about a place and the people that live in it just by walking through the town centre and looking at how many loan shark shops and betting shops they have and just like ours Burnley is full of them
I appreciate that a united stand would probably work, but I didn't really think my mother was up for the fight. The worrying thing was like the poster said, not a single policeman within 200 yards of the away coaches.... Doesn't make sense at all.
i'm not on about your mother and the other buses, i'm talking about the two coaches full of blokes that will have set off at silly o'clock in the morning and called somewhere on the way for a drink, mostly big lads with a ale inside them 80 of the getting off the bus and walking towards them would have had the same effect as 10 coppers with sticks and dogs
Very true. Although that would surely lead us down a dark path.... Imagine the next game at game burnley, with their fans remembering how a bus full of barnsley fans dare to stand up to them in their town. Would much rather have seen the police do some policing.
