Is it true that brian howard has gone to the wendies for £100,000 today! heard this from a huddersfield supporter, a leeds supporter and a chesterfield supporter thats why reid is staying with us!
drew talbot £250k, caleb folan £500k, Will Hoskins £1m, - Howard........ must be worth £750000 seeing as we are in the silly season</p>
I hope it's false I'm sure the money is false because even Shepherd must realise just how crucial a player Howard is within our team and how much he is worth. really hope he hasn't gone because if he has I honestly believe we will go down, he is that important. I wondered when Howard said he was in contract talks if it might be the next AR. GS can say he tried to get him to stay and feel guilt free when he leaves. I just really, really hope I'm wrong S)
Nowt on their official website about Howard. God I hated every minute of looking at that s(h)ite. Can't see it myself , not at that price.
howard is worth 500k -750k id say closer to 750k if he has a good year next year in the championship then it will be double that theres no way the board would sell him to wednesday anyway - they would probably have to stump up another 250k for us to accept because its them.
RE: i'd rather him leave for nowt in the sumer than go now for peauts and leave us to get relegated. At least then we'd have time to find a replacement and we'd have survived.
Tripe I reckon There is no way we would buy McCann for £130k only to sell Howard for £20k more.</p> Even our lot can see they're not in the same league.</p>
Howard has said that he wants to stay, so what's the problem? <table id="HB_Mail_Container" style="height: 100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%" border="0"><tbody><tr style="width: 100%; height: 100%"><td id="HB_Focus_Element" style="width: 100%; height: 250px" valign="top"></td></tr><tr><td style="font-size: 1pt; height: 1px"></td></tr></tbody></table><blockquote>I don't understand why we always drag our heels over these matters? He supposedly entered into contract negotiations a few weeks' ago, so why the delay in re-signing? Unless we're waiting to see what develops in the transfer window i.e. he could be used in a cash + player deal to bring a footballer of a higher calibre to Oakwell? I sincerely hope not, 'cos for me there is no-one better in midfield for us than Howard at the moment.</blockquote>
RE: Howard has said that he wants to stay, so what's the problem? Why does the club insist on dragging its heels over such matters? Contract negotiations supposedly started a few weeks' ago, so why the delay? Unless we're waiting to see what develops in the transfer window e.g. Howardcould be used in a cash + player deal for afootballer that the Manager and Board deem to beof a higher calibre. I sincerely hope not though, because for me, there is no-one better for us than Howard in that position.</p>
