What about Barry Conlon? Must have come second I suppose..

Trundle named player of the year

Trundle signed a long-term contract at Swansea in February
Swansea striker Lee Trundle has been named League One Player of the Year.
The 29-year-old has scored 20 goals for the Swans this season and received his gong at the inaugural Football League awards held on Sunday night.

He said: "It's brilliant to get player of the year for the whole league, it's nice to get recognised like this.

"I've had a bad time with injuries, and have had two months out this season, but I've scored three goals in my last three league games."

The Liverpool-born forward has netted 63 times since moving to The Liberty Stadium from Wrexham in the summer of 2003.

Trundle committed his future to Swansea until at least 2009 after signing a contract extension in February and has been linked with moves to Everton and Portsmouth.

easily the best player I've seen this season. not sure if he's Premiership quality mind, but he'll do next season in the Championship what Lita has done this. hopefully not for Swansea.

Could make Championship or even Premiership, but its been said he bottles it at the thought of playing at that level. Big fish , little pond

He bossed the game on Sat

has the arrogance and swagger of someone who knows he's better than what he's up against. wish we had some of that.

If I'd have been a scout at Saturdays game...

...seeing all those players for the first time, I'd be recommending Nardiello above Trundle.

apart from the 15 offsides and the chance he shouldve burried and the stumble and poor first touch at the end, I'd agree. 20 goal Trundle aint all that.

    bossed the game ??????????????

we dealt with him very well-started chelping at the ref early on-"I'm a well known superstar-they shouldn't be allowed to tackle ME"

it was just a poor moment by Heckingbottom and Shuker which let him have the chance-IĀ also thinkĀ that Nardiello stood out above him on Saturday-I can't think of much Trundle did-apart from score !!!

For me he showed he was a very good technical player with very good close control.

You can't judge him on one game and he has scored 20 goals. You don't do that unless you can play a bit.

    he is a good player

    - dont think he is as good as he thinks he is though. he wouldn't cut it in the premier league at all in my opinion. he's too slow.
