    I've had a number of requests to get these online once more... I think there's about 14 or more and basically 'tell the tale' when we (Westie & I) were lads in Birdwell and surrounding areas!

    (pint) ... there's hopefully summat for everyone to reminisce about... whether you laugh or not is another matter entirely!!

    Mobbing up at Birdwell Youth Club....

    About 25 handed to take on Hoyland/Elsecar/Jump..... Thank goodness the boys in blue turned - we received confirmation from a friend on a motorbike that were well over 100 handed and on their way. We ended up being escorted to the bhus stop and put on the first available bus back to Worsbrough Bridge undera police escort.
    If memory serves me right, this was an extension of an incident involving McDog in the No.7 pub on Market Hill.?

    How we managed to survive i don't know.
