Been standing here five minutes. Three different people have shouted "send them home".

    Makes you proud, eh?

He also tweeted; "Barnsley man clutching The Sun tells me he voted leave to stop Muslims coming to the UK from Iraq & Syria"

    Yes, because that will happen!!

BBC News ran a piece on the 1pm bulletin today, filmed in Barnsley. Some of the quotes from people they stopped in town were beyond parody.

A woman at work today told me that she voted leave so that she could get her passport stamped when she goes on holiday.

They have a nack of picking the best ones - just like ofsted inspectors can pick out the pupils who don't have a clue in a classroom :)

Did people not hear the interviews prior to the Wembley trip

They purposely pick down and outs to make the town live up to its name

They've obviously targeted the retired populous. Also the drunks/skag heads.

You did say make the town live up to its name didn't you.

I personally don't stereotype people as typical of the place the media decide to interview in

Johnson was educated at the European School of Brussels, Ashdown House School, and Eton College. He studied Classics at Balliol College, Oxford, where he was elected President of the Oxford Union in 1986. Beginning his career in journalism at The Times, he later became The Daily Telegraph's Brussels correspondent, with his articles exerting a strong influence on growing Eurosceptic sentiment among the British right-wing. He became assistant editor from 1994 to 1999 before taking the editorship of The Spectator from 1999 to 2005.
