"The game turned on its head a minute later as Campbell-Ryce tricked his way into the area before being tripped by Fontaine's outstretched leg. The referee controversially decided the winger had dove despite what appeared to be obvious contact and wasted no time brandishing a second yellow card and sending the Jamaican for an early shower." and "The Reds should have had a stonewall penalty minutes later when Johnson blatantly handled in the area as he went to clear a loose ball but again the referee gave nothing and waved away the visitors protests." I was sure I overheard the Bristol commentators saying it had been handled by Johnson but the Oakwell team didnt mention it Not sure how we are supposed to play a top 3 side away from home when the ref is completely biased in their favour as well
From Bristols.. The drama continued early in the second half with Campbell-Ryce cited for diving in the box after skipping beyond Liam Fontaine. Referee Keith Hill rightly called up the cheating winger, showed him a second yellow card and subsequent red to reduce Barnsley to ten men.
I actually would like Simon Davey to come and have a go at the official cos this seems to happen time and time again, and this that it evens itself out is rubbish, most of todays game was 10 v 12 (bet ref had a BC shirt on!)
wonder if it will make the highlights package we can then decide ourselves no chance of the second pen apeal for handball being shown though

You are reading Rob's reports all wrong Farnham You are reading it as though it is a piece of accurate reporting that can be relied upon when in actual fact it is the ramblings of a barnsley fan.
Frankly unlikely Farnham It was a pivotal incident, key to determining the outcome of the game. If such an incident makes it into the Barnsley World highlights, it'd be the first time this season it had happened.
