If we go with the two Georges we are in even bigger trouble than we appear to be in at the moment. Be afraid. Or be nonchalant. Which is probably for the best then you won't end up disappointed.

Bree is a decent player but I agree we need two full backs. A left back should be almost as important as a striker in LJ's recruitment drive.

Too young and inexperienced. Looks to have the makings of a good in about three years time. We need some players who know this league inside out.

Bree at right back, Smith at left back
Williams as cover for Bree, need to sign another left back

Not bad. Hopefully the left back would be quite experienced to help the youngsters on and off the pitch

Too young and inexperienced? I think he will do fine next season. Would have played moat of last season if he had not got injured as mason holgate is a natural center back.

I would assume Bree and Williams will compete and alternate at the RB slot.

Smith will be first choice LB and deserves it from what I've seen of him. Far better than Declan John who was brought in last season. Wouldn't mind Carl Dickinson back at Oakwell from Port Vale mind...

He's a good player in the making but at the moment he's far too inexperienced and his decision making has been poor at times.

He should be making cameo appearances for the next season or so and gradually increasing his game time.

I tend to agree. He's good but I don't think he's ready for a season of first team football yet. I'd prefer to see him learning from an experienced full back who knows this league well.

Definately need another left back Smith was getting skinned every attack on Tuesday, although, he might get skinned if we signed proper wingers!

Ok? One game doesn't really do him justice, he was alright last season but if we want to be out of this division we need to get better.

Personally think people look too much into friendlies. It's there to assess their fitness levels following from a break. Remember Halifax last year. How many players looked off the pace. O'Grady was getting knocked all over the place and falling down, Cranie and Mvoto looked like they'd just turned 60 etc etc

Smith will only get better with games but if we're going to deny him them then he's going to stagnate. Would much rather continue with our own academy than bring loanees like Declan John, Cameron Stewart etc etc

I'm not saying he shouldn't be played but playing him all the time won't do him good either, he'll pick up an injury end up like Digby. never get into the team after it etc. play 20 games next season and that'd be great for him.

He's a very good player, outstanding prospect at just 18 years old. He was the one lad I kept banging on about on here when he was only 15/16 having seen a few youth games. He's only continued to impress me and at the end of last season only Scowen was matching him for performance. I wouldn't read too much into a friendly game with non league opposition.

I do think a more experienced left back to add competition and erm, experience would be ideal, but they'd more than likely expect to play all the time. It's not particularly an area I'm stressing over, but I am worried about our lack of width in midfield. Having a good winger who also works hard is paramount. Not a coincidence we improved as a unit once Danny's final signing arrived last season, John O'Sullivan. We could do with one on either side, unless that's what this Watkins is all about?

Watkins seem to have a free role on Tuesday and was good on the ball but he doesn't get into scoring positions so i cant see him being effective in that position, behind the striker(s) or on the wing would be suited for him.

I like Smith, think he will have a solid career i just think if he plays 46 games this season we're running risk of an injury, where as he played 20-25 games he's getting games & still progressing in development.

I think he played that kind of amount last season, and was injured before actually playing. Stands to reason in my opinion that he'll now get a full season, considering he was pretty good for a kid. But aye, we could allus sign Tom Kennedy or summat.
