    Firstly the easy one …

I have ripped out an old shower to replace it with a slightly larger one. I don't want to re-tile the whole bathroom and I do have some spare tiles sitting around that I can use to replace those that were drilled into and those that need re-fitting along the bottom of the shower tray.

Unfortunately … I don't have enough of them, in fact frustratingly, I'm short by about three!

So, does anyone have 25x33cm "Guocera Carthago" tiles hanging around their garage that they want to sell on? (I think that originally the tiles were stocked at B&Q but they don't stock them anymore)

Secondly … I had Sky+ installed yesterday. Works great with the exception of the magic eye in our bedroom.

The set up I have is this:

    RF1 > TV downstairs

RF2 > Distribution Amplifier in Loft > Magic eye > TV in Bedroom (plus DA to other TV's no Magic eyes on them).

The Distribution Amplifier is a mains powered six way with return path.

There is power to the magic eye as the red light is on.

This set up worked flawlessly with the old sky set-up but frustratingly just will not work with Sky+. The picture quality is fine (the remote is correctly set-up) it just appears that for whatever reason the remote commands are not returning via the magic eye to the Sky+ box.

As far as I'm able to tell from the manufacturers website (PROception) the DA is compatible with Sky+ it just doesn't seem to be accepting return commands … I'm stumped.

Can't find any similar problems on the various forums, they're all "no power to the magic eye" type things. Any help would be gratefully received!

    Re the Bathroom Tiles

Have you asked Guocera themselves where you might be able to get some?

Failing that, ask ex-City Tyke. He has plenty of contacts in the bathroom trade and may be able to point you somewhere that has em.

Their website shows that they don't make that size any more, although they do it in a smaller size ... which isn't much good for me!

    No-one on the Sky +

I realised that the tiles might have been a no-hoper but I'd hoped a techie out there would know what to do with Sky +

I was a roll of wallpaper short once which came from B+Q and was no longer stocked - I can't remember now whether I just googled it or whether I was put on to a supplier by B and Q but I managed to get a roll from a company that bought their old stock. Same might work for tiles

    Have you tried Ebay?

Also, I'm sure I've heard of a website that sells discontinued lines of things like tiles - can't think what it's called but you could try a search

RE: No-one on the Sky +

I use the magic eye on sky+ and it works perfectly. I'm sure I read at the time that the eye might have problems when going through a booster. Did you say it worked fine with the booster on normal sky?

    Bodge job tiling solution??

Take all the tiles out at the level required & replace with tiles of the same size, in a "toning" colour?

Make it look like it was intended like that all along?? (dunno)
