at Derby we outplayed the team who got promoted for 70 minutes-let's try and do it for 90 mins on Saturday
team that day
Colgan
Hassell(46) Reid Kay Heckingbottom
McIndoe Togwell Howard Devaney
Richards(84) Wright(79)
sub:Healy Hayes(79) Austin(46) Nardiello(84) Williams

Marc Richards Regis-esque miss SM still has nightmares.
Footballed them to death and still lost.

Coming out of the ground.................. two Derby fans were talking and didn't know we were Barnsley fans-One said to the other "how on earth did we manage to win that one?" "No idea" said his mate
Marc Richards Regis-esque miss-this one? The Reds almost grabbed a second on 53 minutes as Martin Devaney took advantage of some sloppy defending to race down the right flank before crossing well but Richards could only smash the ball against the advertising boards when well placed in the middle.

"well placed in the middle" keeper on his arse, net waiting arrival of ball, fans already up in the air.
Bah.

RE: Marc Richards Regis-esque miss-this one? does the last sentence of that report mention upon leaving the ground, getting directed the wrong way up a dual carriageway by the 'navigator'?
Notched a few in The Championship. One of those players imho that needed coaching.
SM wants him dead mind.

these two were belters................... and on TV as well
http://www.soccerbase.com/results3.sd?gameid=476473
not consistent enough IMHO-still who is in the current team ?

RE: these two were belters................... Who knows ? We struggle like fck for strikers. Although Macken last night did what he does best - bring the other attacking players into the game.
Mifsud just takes an hour to get the ball under control.

just a thought.............. if he played the same eleven in the same formation for more than two games maybe some consistency would appear-still what do I know?
RE: top scorer................ one of the best sun tans in football. and probably the worst first touch.
When we went down in 2002... ...we lost 4-1 at home to Palace in the run-in. When we survived in 2006/07 we beat them 2-0 at home in the run-in. Good omen that we have done the same again?
