    Been released from hospital.

    Got caught up in what was apparently pre-arranged violence with Feyenoord supporters.

    Were they 'chaps' or innocent people supporting a football team? Feyenoord have a reputation for violence but abroad they don't appear to differentiate from 'lad' and 'football supporter'

    Just a reminder............2 Barnsley fans stabbed at Bramall Lane

    Can you remember that
    Two young (I think they were about 15 years old) were slashed with Stanley knifes on Shoreham Street by Sheff U fans in the 1970s 80s
    Its mentioned in their Blades Business Crew book (otherwise known as BBC fairy stories).
    Does anybody know these guys
    Do they still go and watch the TARN

    It certainly wasn't Shoreham Street... It was a back street just off the Howard Hotel. 3 Barnsley lads got slashed, the worst of which received 29 stitches straight across his back. 25 Barnsley were drinking in the pub when a few Sheff Utd turned up outside - apparently a couple were showing off knives through the windows - the landlord closed the curtains and called the police. They duly turned up in two vans and told everyone to "get out the pub and we'll take you to the ground"... instead of going along the main drag they took the Barnsley group directly into a back street, got into their vans, and drove off - missiles were then thrown from an adjacent hill (all in darkness) and in the ensuing attack the Barnsley lot were chased to the ground by 60/80 Sheffielders.
