They need to be played wide to open up the play,Davey would rather have them tight to defend even though we are 1-0 down.
Mate Don't start this argument off again about not needing wide players. All successful teams use width. I remember you arguing against this last time!
Because is it me, or does all of campbell ryce's goals either come from the penalty spot or from him cutting in from the wing. If we get balls in from the wing we can cause problems in the box. We're playing the ball down the middle towards Mifsud who's never gonna win the ball in the air so why not get Bogdanovic up there with him. Its not working at the moment so if we need to change something because this 4-2-2-1-1 formation or whatever it is, isnt working, we're 1-0 down and not creating anything
Plenty of unsuccessful teams use width too I'm puzzled as to why pushing players wide will automatically solve all of our problems.
not saying it will but... were not doing anything at the moment, so whats the worst that could happen
sounds to me like we are playing 4 - 5 - 1 with hamil wide left and boggy wide right as per the first 25 minutes on saturday so we are playing with wingers after all
Pushing players wide obviousley opens up the play, creates room for your forwards,**** Chopra has just scored, **** it,
but why play a centre forward on the right wing, negative tactics again, basing a formation around the players again.
Yeah, that's what he said earlier Cardiff are going to be the ones playing on the break if we try and chase the game. I would imagine SD's best policy would be damage limitation.
Bizzarely He also stated that picking up points away from home was easier becasue there was very little pressure - and "no obligation to entertain."
