but where are they coming from? Remember this time last year we won away at Preston thanks to Leon's amazing free-kick and then won at Watford thanks to a Kayode double and another influential performance from Diego Leon. Having looked at the predictor yet again - the good news is that a couple of wins should do it, even if we lose the others, because most of the lower teams have to play each other, so there are not three points on offer for every team every game. The bad news is that we will have to scrap for these two wins, probably surprising the pundits. I have got us down for: a draw at Watford; a draw with Swansea; defeat at Coventry; defeat at Reading; win at home to Wolves (see below) and defeat at Plymouth. Those five points should see us safe by a whisker. Biggest fear - where are the goals coming from to win us more than just the Wolves game? Step up someone, like Diego and Kayode did last season. No one expected that and we need another couple of heroes this time. Regarding Wolves: two thoughts after Monday's game at Birmingham: Christophe Berra has to be the worst defender in the Championship; St. Andrews has to be the worst playing surface. How on earth did Wolves get to be top? How can McCarthy leave Stearman on the bench and put Berra on the field? Does Marlon Harewodd know what time of day it is? Will Chris Iwelumo play agaiin this season (he presented the only serious threat to Brum on Monday)? Wolves struggled against pace and Swansea struggled against a big target man coming in at far posts against Cardiff on Sunday. Might be some clues there to our potential heroes.
Wolves could well be promoted by the time we play them - relaxed free flowing attacking football-oh no !!
Correct me if i'm wrong But we aint got a bad record recently at home to Wolves. I agree the pressure might be off them but with nowt to play for might be more relaxed and play out of their skins.
