'Cov. Away.' Don't wanna be negative Nelly or owt but.. i feel sorry for those of you going. We'll either be on the wrong side of a 4-1 rout or a last minute sloppy goal. Then again.. this could be the 100/1 chance match that LJ turns our fortunes round
We're going to get smashed. I'm saving my pennies for Altrincham. Where, in an unforeseen turn of events, we'll presumably get smashed.
On the bright side after we lose tonight it may just be the end for our pathetic inept coach who couldn't manage a pee up in a brewery.
Johnson will be manager for years to come mate, no matter how **** we're doing. Then only thing that would get him sacked if somehow we get the money stumped up to be able to afford to sack him
Of course he will be, if not tonight then later, it's just a matter of time. He can't dig himself out before the January window with the team he has partly inherited and partly assembled who have apparently thrown in the towel already through lack of motivation and inept tactics. For sure he will go eventually, just hope it's not too late to avoid the drop.
They are having a good season and have the likes of Fortune and Armstrong combining to get and make the goals. it was an excellent fight-back on Saturday against Peterborough from two goals down. On the other hand, no one has smashed us during the recent poor run. I will go 2-0 Coventry with Armstrong getting both goals. I listened to Tony Mowbray on the FL Show on Saturday and his tactical astuteness was commendable in seeing where and how he could turn the Posh game around, which he succeeded in doing. I would love tonight to be the beginning of the turn-around for us and would love a result like Bradford City away in the cup. The trouble is, I am almost expecting that we will lose now. I will look for the result around 10 pm with the expectation that we will lose, so that I won't feel too disappointed. I would love us to win, but, most of all, I would love us to put in the sort of performance of graft and never-say-die that we did at Millwall when everyone's hopes were raised. I would love us to win, but fear we will not.
Then we may as well turn to rugby league as it will surely be the end of the club as we have known it. Usually you would say that you are only as good as the people who work for you, in this case it appears the opposite.
