Most people on here seem to think not. I reckon there's a good chance he'll stay. Certainly if he knows what side his bread's buttered on he will do. We've taken a punt on him when nobody else would touch him, and he's now playing as well as he has done since he left us for Wolves. Barnsley and Adam Hammill are a good fit. For whatever reason that's not been the case for him at the other clubs he's been at. It would be nice to think that Adam is well aware of this, and knows that staying with us is the right decision.

The lad is enjoying his football again after a frustating few years. It all depends whether that continues and if there is interest who and what is offer...

If it was purely a footballing decision he'd stay in a heartbeat I think, once his agent tells him he can get 10k a week next year on the championship it might be a different story however.

Fair play though and good luck to the lad, him playing with us this year has been a mutually beneficial thing. If it continues great, if not thanks Adam lad

His missus is pregnant again. I have no idea what impact (if any) that may have on his decision, I'm just throwing it out there.

Nope. He's genuinely too good for League 1. He just needs the right Club. He said he had 'unfinished business' here. Damn shame he's got injured, but personally I think he's already achieved that and we've got a lot to thank him for. I think the only way we'll keep him next year, is if we manage to get promoted - and I don't think that's gonna happen

Not a chance. Unless we pay him daft money. He'll have served his purpose in digging us out of a hole but we can't be spending cash like he'll be demanding even now long term (if we're in this league)

I'm just enjoying him whilst he's here.

We've only got him because his agent couldn't find him a championship club who were willing to take a gamble on him

No chance of him staying longer. "Unfinished business" won't matter when money talks in the summer. That we've boosted his flagging career will count for nothing compared to the pounds sterling he will have on the table from bigger clubs. I'm pretty sure after his short term deal we'd have tried offering him an 18 or 30 month contract and that he only signed until the end of this season was purely down to the player.

I don't think we've got any chance of keeping him, I'd love to be proved wrong but I can't see it. He's miles too good for this league and will surely get a cracking offer in the Championship for next season which he'd be daft to turn down. He owes us nothing after the hole he's helped get us out of this season.

I think there's a chance. After several years of his career stuttering he's finally settled down and he's playing football again.

The optimist in me says that there's a good chance he'll accept a one year extension in order to have a crack at promotion next season and possibly write himself into Oakwell folklore forever. From the club's point of view, promotion is worth so much that it makes sense to try pushing the boat out to keep him.

    I think we've got a chance of 12 months

    Not a prayer.

"Hi, Adam, would you like to sign a new contr... oh. Bristol City, a million pounds a year, you say? Not to worry. Charlton will have someone we can take on loan."

It would be the best move for Adam to sign a 12 month extension. Get us promoted then get one last move. I can't see it though and suspect he will be gone in the summer.

    Still stranger things have happened.

If any club offered him around 20k a week they need their heads tested.
