Tickets can be bought in advance from the box office at Oakwell or will be available on the turnstiles. Please help to spread the word, and let us see if we can get a large crowd down at Oakwell. You can download a poster to help promote the game by putting it in your local club/pub/workplace/shop. Poster Can You Help With Flyers To Advertise The Game We are producing some flyers for the game on Saturday. However, we need your help! Can you spare a couple of hours to help get the flyers out into the community and get the message out that football at Oakwell is only £16 / £11 this weekend. Category Games At Oakwell Barnsley FC operate a category system for matches at Oakwell. There are just 3 category C, 4 category B and 16 Category A fixtures. Ticket prices range from £16, £23 and £30 for adults. We are concerned that the walk up ticket prices, especially for Category A games, are having a detremental effect on the attendances at Oakwell. To date we have seen two category B fixtures and one category A fixture at Oakwell, and attendance are down by 10% based on the same fixtures last season. Barnsley FC have introduced the 1912 membership scheme, where members can sign up for a nominal fee and then get a discount of £5 on adult tickets for all category A fixtures, a potential saving of £70 over the season. Discounts are also available for the concessiions tickets of £3 on category A fixtures. If we can get a big turn out for the Watford game, we hope that we can pursuade the football club, that with good advertising and marketing, we can increase gates sufficiently to cover a reduction in ticket prices. We plan to speak further with the football club on ticket pricing FSF Yorkshire Divisional Meeting on Sunday There is a meeting of the Yorkshire Division of the FSF on Sunday 18th September starting at 12.30pm at Club Thirty Nine, Doncaster, College Road, DN1 3JH. One of the key subjects for discussion is a new campaign that the FSF want to run on football pricing called £20 is plenty. For more details on this meeting contact Alan Bloore . Junior Get together There will be a get together in the academy facilities prior to the Watford game for our Junior Members. You can come along, enjoy a friendly game of football and meet new friends.
