I like Luke & Neil. I wish them every success. I, however, don't like the constant digs about Red All Over, just because they see it a bit different, or keep it family friendly. I understand their annoyance at Luke/Craig/whoever else who's "jumped ship", but it's not like it's a paid gig. They make out that you're not angry or annoyed or upset about the situation, unless you're effing & b'ing it every second word. I actually think Luke believed about what got said regarding that new ownership (Don't say hoax bill), and why he spoke about it - I feel for him that he's received pigs abuse because of it being codswallop. They like to say if you're going and paying, you're backing the board - some may, but the generalisation is ridiculous. I know many a folk who go because it's the only time they see their kids, or they're slightly on in years and it's one of their few enjoyments with the family. I've come to notice, they don't reply to comments a lot of the time which contradict what one of them says - especially on live streams. They bemoan the club not spending, and in the next sentence mention buying 2 players for a combined 2.5million - now, I agree that the signings aren't great, and the money could have been better spent. But saying they don't spend, and then moaning when we do spend doesn't make sense. I've said before I think they do spend (within our means), but it's very poorly spent alot of it. Everybody and their nans knew we didn't an experienced lad in the midfield. But we didn't get one, and it's cost us. Having said all that, I do actually like a lot of what Luke says, and agree with a lot of it. I just think he's that annoyed/frustrated, that sometimes he doesn't realise he's contradicting himself. And I hope that nothing crap did happen behind the scenes, and the reasons why craig/luke are on RAO is just because they like talking about this club we love - and not because of some big argument they've all had.
I really enjoyed that. There were a number of aspects I didn't agree with, but I have no problems with people holding a different viewpoint to me.
Interesting watch. I've never seen this channel before but it's certainly an eye opener. Tell it like it is !
I didn't get past 10 minutes. just way too angry and aggressive for me. not just towards the owners either. comes across as pretty aggressive towards other fans and fan groups. if there's going to be anything like a movement against current ownership, it's going to need calm heads. not this. I want to hear other opinions but this is just diatribe for me. difficult to pick out valid opinion, during a 90 minute rant. their points were all over the place for me, in the 10 mins I sat through.
It’s where I’m at. The language and anger is too much for me personally, but good that supporters have choice on what to watch and listen to. Way too many inaccuracies or contradictions but that’s what happens when you do it for so long and live. To be expected.
yeah fair dos. I'm never gonna have a pop at other fans for being upset at what's going on. it's just way too firebrand for me. good luck to em though.
What were the inaccuracies? Bear in mind I've not actually listened to it so have no idea what was said at all. Actually forget that. I've given it a go. got 5 minutes in and given up wouldn't mind listening to Neil doing a show but got no interest in listening to the psychic
The bottom line seems to be that right across the fan base there's a recognition that our owners are causing serious damage to the club but very, very few are willing to do anything positive about it. I hate to bang this drum but the Supporters Trust are the most recognisable and well founded group we have available. I've just checked their website....the last article on there seems to be one Ben did in January. We need someone to lead an organised, public push back against the ownership and it's not happening. Not that I can see anyway.
That's what happens when the Buuming Club want their free flat bread and photo taken with Toby Tyke followed by a foot rub off Khaled.
There right about alot of things, people saying its aggressive etc well its passion id also advice people think about where your moneys going to these clowns. More or less a unofficial boycott going on.
We could probably update the website more but that’s not the only platform of comms. Our newsletter in February was sent to 3,000+ supporters and then again in March. All about havIng time to do those things and whether you’ve got anything worth saying - which K refer to our previous discussion on that one rather than repeating it again. We’re on the same page.
I'm not going to cast aspersions SD and it's easy for me to sit a few hundred miles away and criticise but the visible stance of the Trust doesn't reflect the current state of affairs or the feelings of the fans. The pieces on the website are fine but they're old and don't seem to be a rallying cry I feel they should be.
