HOWEVER............ they did play better and I don't think Faldo got it right with his team order for the singles--he needed to put his stronger players out first to get points on the board-putting Harrington last was daft-even if he'd won it would have made no difference-IMHO anyway
But his strong players (Westwood, Garcia, Harrington and Jiminez) all lost! All of them had a poor Ryder Cup (they only managed 3 points between them) and it's the main reason why we lost
