Don't get me started. That was an awful opponent, and regardless of the shape Fury was in his boxing skills were atrocious.

What were those looping, wide, slow hooks all about? Dirty tactics for the second fight in a row too.

I enjoyed the fight. He's had a shitty few months to be fair, as I'm sure you're aware of. He could have turned up blindfolded and put Abell down. So I give you that. But Fury's an entertainer. But he's a warrior too. It's not his fault his chance to shut the likes of you and Madmark up was robbed last minute by pretty boy Haye and his excuses. (he's talking about a comeback already... pussy)

    :)

Haye's hardly talking of a comeback, he's just said that half the doctors say he'll be able to punch again, the other half say he won't.

Not sure how he's a pussy boy if he genuinely can't throw a punch right now?

Fury fight was entertaining, but regardless of the shitty few months he's had it was just a really poor performance. Other fighters have had the same amount of time off and not looked as bad as that. Kell Brook for one.

Can't be anused arguing about it. You lot have your opinion of Tyson, I have mine. Neither of us will budge.

Tell you summat though, he was bang on when he described the Chisora/Johnson fight as two bums, two fighters he's beaten, two losers. This is an awful fight. So entertaining, I'm on the BBS.

Like I said before, until he gets his chance to fight someone everybody respects (Haye was that man), we'll never know how good/bad he is. And you can't argue with that.

As an aside, are you in the Froch or Groves camp?

This is where you always get me wrong (and where the BBS is infuriating). Just by disagreeing with you about how good you think Fury is, doesn't mean I don't rate him. He's a talented boxer, uses his reach well, but I just think he is limited at world level. Against Cunningham, he's toughest test to date against a Cruiserweight, he was close to being knocked out and used an illegal move to get the knockout. That you can't argue with.

Don't agree that this is two bums. Kevin Johnson is an awful fighter who ruins fight after fight, which is why he doesn't have any American fan base at all. If you read what any of the boxing writers from the States put up about him you'd understand. Fury vs Johnson was nearly as bad.

I'm in the Groves camp. Not because I don't rate Froch, he's had some good wins. Just thinks far too highly of himself when you can actually pull his CV apart. Want Groves to take over as I think he could be around for a long time.

I'm also in the Groves camp :) really pleased about the rematch, and think Groves will stop him

He's only limited because he hasn't had that chance to prove folk wrong. He's only 24. He's unbeaten, and entertaining. I've never suggested he's the greatest ever. Far from it. I know my boxing (I think) and he worries me in so many aspects. But I've always made it clear just why I love him - he entertains me.

Think about it. He gets sparked by Abell tonight and it's curtains for him isn't it? He's living off this "I am the greatest" bravado. The man everyone loves to hate. Only, they don't. I love him. Lots of folk do. He's different. In such a bland sport nowadays. Look at that fight we've just 'endured'. As you say, Johnson ruins it. I saw the fight with Tyson. It was very similar. Seen him in prizefighter and thought the same. He's a wasted talent.

I can see your point about Groves, he's young and could be our next warrior on the production line at world level. I like the kid. But Froch isn't gone. And I think those trying to pull apart his CV are sad. The bloke has done us proud for years. And I think he does right to big himself up.

My theory is you prefer fighters who are humble. No?

Agree with you on Froch. A true warrior and never ducked a fight in his life. But I think his legacy will be three fold - schooled by Ward, lucky against Groves and ultimately beaten fair and square by Groves. Properly looking forward to the rematch though. May the best man win.

Still think Fury is a chump. First half decent fighter he faces, will spank him

With the help of Box Nation and Matchroom there's a lot less bland fights in boxing than people give it credit for. Even recently you had Gavin Rees against Buckland which had people all over the UK going mental, and there's so many awesome fights in the States that don't get any airtime over here.

Froch is a true warrior, and I was going as mental as anyone when he beat Bute so convincingly, but he thinks too highly of himself so have a genuine dislike for him as a person as he doesn't do it for show. He's accomplishments aren't that great when you break them down, but still good.

I actually don't mind Fury, there's no dislike there, I just don't think he'll come of anything. However, with Vitali retired and Arreola criminally being allowed to fight for WBC title he could easily get in the mix. Think Wilder would spark him out mind, and think this new, slim, Chisora will give him a really tough fight.

Nigel Benn, Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe were my favourite fighters. Take from that what you will, be at the same time I loved Mike Tyson.

When was that ?I must have slept through that fight! I am sure the result in the last fight between them was a WIN for Froch !!!!
