Set to fight Wladimir Klitschko next year. What does everyone reckon to that? A step to far for Fury or will he have more than a punchers chance?
Klitscho was speaking highly of him the other day, Fury come across as a tough fighter but should still get a few more fights in. (thats what i think anyway)
way too early for fury, agree with andy at mo he's not even number 1 british heavyweight, i have haye, price in front of him he needs to fight them before even thinks of fighting a Klitschko
Tyson Fury should not share a ring with either of them, he will be destroyed in 2 rounds, lump on. He doesnt seem to be learning quickly enough, making same mistakes time and again. He`s Tough, but you need more against those two.
Fury isn't good enough for a world title shot yet. Klitschko won't have too many problems coping with Fury.
AS soon as Price destroyed Mcdermott the coward that is Tyson Fury gave up his British and Commonwealth titles so he wouldn't have to meet Price and get his ''career'' ended thus ending a big pay day against Klitschco. On 11 September, Fury controversially beat John McDermott with a disputed points decision. Both boxers stated they would like a rematch. Many boxing observers scored the contest in favour of McDermott, and promoter Frank Warren labelled referee Terry O'Connor a "disgrace to British Boxing" after his decision. On the 21st January 2012 David Price was fighting for the English Heavyweight title against an experienced fighter in John McDermott. The winner of the bout would be the mandatory challenger against the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury; who many fans and pundits felt that McDermott won against in the first bout between the pair. It only took 73 seconds of the first round for Price to win against McDermott. Price knocked down McDermott 3 times before the referee, Howard John Foster, decided to end the bout; inflicting McDermott with a Technical Knock-out defeat. Fury vacated the British and Commonwealth titles in February 2012, stating that wished to concentrate on pursuing a world title.
Fury is no where near ready for Wladamir but that's just how the klitchos operate they fight anyone with potential early before they are actually ready to pose a threat so it will probably happen
That is exactly what he said about Thompson last week too! He keeps hyping his opponents and people keep paying to see him. Cant fault him really getting millions for easy fights. Thing is when he has to fight a good fighter he can win those fights easy too. Haye will beat Chisora, I dont think he has enough skill, plenty of heart, but not a great fighter. Haye is a class above him, but Chisora has a punchers chance.
Heavyweight division has been poor since Lewis retired. Feel a bit sorry for the Klitschkos because they arent getting the credit they deserve, they would have held there own in any era, not saying they would have beaten Tyson, Lewis or Holyfield but they wouldnt have been disgraced. As for Tyson Fury if he wants to bide his time and avoid them then he will be a world champion in 2 years time but if he wants the quick cash he should fight them now.
Didn't Tyson Fury beat Derek Chisora??? I like Fury. He's always watchable, and 'could' be a great boxer - he has the potential if coached appropriately, IMO. I can't fcukin' stand Chisora, or David Haye - pair of absolute cretins, and both jokes to the heavyweight division. I like David Price, mind. So I'd like to see Fury-Price at some point soon. But maybe Tyson is running scared....? Just doesn't come across as the sort to do that though, again, IMO.
Price could be the best of all the british heavyweights IMO. We could end up with a couple of brits fighting for world titles seeing as there isn't much out there.
I know you, like me, enjoy your boxing Mark. So do you honestly not rate Fury? He excites me. I've seen Calzaghe and Froch live a fair amount of times and they were always value for money. In fact, as I've often said on here, Calzaghe is the best this island has ever produced. And like Joe, and Carl, I think Tyson is value for money, and I'm keen to go see him at some point.
Bit ofna made up story this really He isn't set to fight him next year, Klitschko just said it was a fight he could see happening, not this year, but probably next. In the same way he can see a fight with Seth Mitchell, Povetkin and Chris Arreola happening. No point discussing this yet, as Fury has to fight someone ranked in the top ten of an organisation first, and with fifty bob Promoter pulling the strings feeding him tomato cans, that won't happen anytime soon (unless it's to fight the far too small Adamek)
I have been watching boxing for over 40 years and Tyson Fury is nowhere near a good fighter, his movement is poor, his defence is poor(he turns his head away when someone throws a punch at him, instead of moving his body away), he is unfit and has poor technique. He is a big lad though, but I think he has the heart of a pea. He will carry on winning fights because he is being fed stooges. The Chisora fight was a disgrace, neither fighter should have been paid that night. Each one was as fat as me and just about as fit too. David Price will make mincemeat out of Tyson Fury if Fury ever grows a pair of balls and steps in the ring with him. I prefer to see a skillful boxer, rather than just a plodder with a big punch.
Chisora was almost twice the size he is now when he thought Fury and I bet he regrets that now, I think he would have beaten him had he fought like he did against Klitscho. The first fight against Mcdermott that Fury won was a disgrace. I actually hope Chisora beats Haye as I detest him.
