Loads saying they controlled the game and had more possession & we only won because of a dodgy red card
Yes, just been through their match day thread. Unsurprisingly, they thought the referee was appalling. But to be fair, they, with only a couple of exceptions, thought the red card was the correct decision. Some thought they would have got something from the game if it was 11 vs 11. Most thought they were miles off the pace, had a slow start, that we were more up for it and that Kane contributed nothing. Thought they were pretty fair in their assessment overall to he honest.
"We are far, far too predictable. No shots apart from the goal. I think it is clear where the problems are. We got out of jail against Donny in the first half not so here. Unless we acquire some support up front and change tactics Mr Nagle can kiss a promotion party goodbye."
Goodman our MOTM for handing us the first goal being sloppy and then nearly taking off our players head was a consensus from a few I know. On the topic of MOTM I noticed our announcer called it that today rather than player of the match, which was nice to hear.
They play 4-2-3-1 and have Alfie May and Joe Taylor to pick from up top. They don't ask much, do they?
Lost both their games conceding 3 goals to teams beginning with the letter B. They play Bolton in a few weeks...
I thought they looked pretty good. Had a clear style of play knocking it about the back well with stretching play once they’d broken the press taylor looked excellent to me , fast and aggressive, albeit appalling hair. we won’t come up against much better all season.
What I've seen they were pretty complimentary of us, saying our midfield is class. Seen a lot calling the ref a clown and their keeper abysmal, though.
I thought they were a typical 2025 young coaches team. Nice little triangles, plenty of passing between centre halves etc. It's hard to judge with them having 10 men and us soaking up all the pressure for 25 mins second half but I'd be fuming if we had spent £4m on two strikers and one was on the bench.
