Was talking to a mate of mine the other day something like this would be really interesting, completely ignorant to the fact that it was being considered.

I've read the article but I'm still non-the-wiser as to what it actually is?

Another step towards a permanent European League for the 'top' (richest) teams.

    It's a league, of nations.

    I have no clue either.

This is probably the nearest explanation we're going to get. Another nail in the coffin for "ordinary proper" football.

That's my understanding, nothing to do with clubs. It's UEFA/FIFA etc trying to ensure the international game remains the pinnacle. They need to do something IMO because as it is club football is becoming the be all and end all.

If that's the case then I'm all for it. Anything has got to be better than the current nearly arbitrary ranking system, and international friendlies are generally about as enjoyable as piles.

A League of Nations? That didn't end too well last time they tried it!

What UEFA need is a leader, in the character of Brian Clough.

Then we wouldnt get any ballax and ********......itd be straight forward common sense decisions with a take it or leave it attitude.
