Not getting carried away or anything, but will we have qualifying rounds, or straight into the group stages?

    Cheers.

not to put a dampener on things....

...due to Manure's unfortunate exit, we not have to win the thing to get into Europe!

The last team to qualify for the UEFA through the FA Cup were Millwall and they went straight into the competition.

And they were duly dumped out at the first hurdle, if I remember correctly.

    No we don't...

...if we play Cardiif in the final, we automatically qualify.

There's still a possibility Portsmouth will get into Europe through their league position as well, don't forget.

    RE: Why? nt

    From a Cardiff fan...

"...we come under the Football of Wales umbrella and can only qualify for Europe if we were in the League of Wales.

UEFA and Fifa have said there is no chance of this being changed to accommodate us if the impossible did happen.

It sucks but being a Cardiff City supporter with £24 million worth of debt and Risdale at the helm, this Cup run is a nice distraction whatever happens."

...although if Cardiff won they may just give the Premiership an extra league place.

    Doesn't work like that

Portsmouth would take the FA Cup place, and the league place would go to the team further down.
