A lot of posts on X looking into the procurement files and some of the projects the government have funded with taxpayers money. Some interesting ones for sure... £201k spent on a study of the environmental impact of making the movie Star Wars £194k on research around 'gay pig' masculinities £180k replacing air conditioning in the British High Commission Barbados £841k on researching the Europe that gay porn built contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/search
Interestingly, the £180K for the air conditioning in Barbados is listed - which is probably fair enough given we need to maintain our embassies and presence overseas - but searches for the other terms don't return any results. For instance, a search for Star+Wars returns one result - a contract for £11.17m from the MOD to Worcester Medal Services. A search for gay+porn returns 0 results, and a search for gay+pig the same (neither does homo+pig or sexual+pig). Do you have the links for the other contracts?
I'm hoping Sunaks £52m personal helicopter contract he personally intervened to reinstate has been scrapped. Buy you a lot of aircon that.
That was just one link, the star wars one was reported by quite a few media outlets, this one is an extract from the Sunday Telegraph. Just do a bit of searching and you'll find stuff. https://www.pressreader.com/uk/the-...QjBF6P-4c54KzBlCEO9rXbb28oWYbRukPotQgrdVw-HTx
Interesting how they try to blame the government for a contract seemingly awarded in 2022. I say seemingly because it doesn't appear on that website under any combination of search terms. And Charlotte Gill isn't known to have the best relationship with the truth.
Now Carrie doesn't live there anymore, the staff at No 10 don't have to lipstick that particular one.
Pretty certain we had a government in 2022. It's just astonishing what money gets spent on regardless of who is in power.
Exactly, you read stuff like that, and it's a head in hands job when in the next breath they want more in taxes.
