This does make me wonder whether David Icke's shapeshifting reptilian humanoids have sprouted offspring
Nobody can say that this result has not been coming can they? For decades, surveys have shown that millions of ordinary people dislike the European Union and are alarmed by the influx of so many newcomers, especially in working-class towns struggling to cope with the decline of industry and the rise of unemployment. Contrary to what the sneering metropolitan commentators like to think, the vast majority of these people are not racists. What worries them is the evaporation of jobs which are going overseas, the stagnation of real wages, the shortage of decent housing, the overcrowding of primary schools and the rising pressure on hospital wards and A&E departments. Britain’s political and media classes, however, have shown themselves almost entirely uninterested — and for depressingly obvious reasons. Well-heeled politicians such as David Cameron, Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg, like their friends and allies in the liberal media, see only the benefits of European membership and the unfettered movement of labour. To them, immigration means cheaper au pairs, cleaners and builders. Because they rarely see the world outside Westminster, except on flying visits to their constituencies, they have no sense of the anxiety in working-class communities and are quick to condemn anybody who violates their shared taboo. UKIP has tapped into is a widespread national discontent that cannot merely be dismissed — as some metropolitan commentators have tried to do — as racism or xenophobia.
Re: Nobody can say that this result has not been coming can they? Very well said that man. That's it in the proverbial nutshell.
Decent article about attacking the real UKIP agenda of destroying employment rights and pretty much enslaving normal people. http://www.leftfootforward.org/2014/05/how-to-beat-ukip-without-calling-them-racist/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I can't understand why people get so worked up over UKIP. They are nothing more than a pressure group like the Green Party, The Referendum Party or The Liberal Democrats. They don't need clear policies because there is no danger of them being elected. It's doubtful they will ever win a single seat. We live in a democracy and we're all (supposedly) in favour of free speech so just let them get on with it. People should be focusing their hatred on Call Me Dave and Gideon. And that other bloke who abandoned all his principles. The name escapes me at the moment as he is a bit of a no mark.
It's the EU that will enslave people and the world government that will follow. As mentioned before, it doesn't matter what UKIP's policies on employment are because at most they're going to get a handful of seats in a General Election, they've done well in the local elections but won no councils, the first past the post system does not favour them. People vote UKIP to show the mainstream parties how discontented they are with them and their policies and hope to get them to change them. However, since none of them will ever leave the EU there's not a lot they can do, immigration from the EU will keep rising and Cameron can do nothing to slow it, and the other two don't want to slow it.
A protest vote for UKIP is like shitting in your own bed you still have to sleep in it afterwards. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Those that voted for Ukip Don't know what Ukip really stands for. They are allegedly free marketeers and yet they want to withdraw from one of the largest markets in the World. Ukip are certainly a Party of the Wealthy who want to get rid of employee rights. For the Working Class to voting for them is like Turkeys voting for Christmas.
