Does anyone know of any reasonable local teams looking for players?
My little lad is wanting to play for next season but I'm really struggling to find a team who are not full. Or I can't seem to get in touch with via email or phone. I'm getting a little frustrated and I don't want him to be without a team next year.

He will be under 8s for the 12/13 season.
Any help would be most appreciated :)

I haven't to be fair but they aren't advertising. Problem is most of the teams rarely update their websites!

If you're in Ponty give Ackworth Allstars a try. My lads play for u12's and u16's. Coaching and set up is excellent. Let me know if you're interested and I'll get hold of details of u8's coach for you. As for being full, they usually have more than one team at that age group.

Have you tried Pinfold puma's in Cudworth, know they start at a really young age group. Mate of mine coaches of of their teams, I can ask him for details later if you're interested.

I've coached adults but I've always found kids a bit frustrating. Maybe I'm mellowing in my old age tho. Where about's are they based?

It's not too far away. I live in the Brampton/Manvers area.

Like I said it's always good to have options. The team he played for last season were not too good so he got a bit demoralised towards the end.
