Because...........if this is not cleared up and cleared up soon, then all sorts of things could start e.g. 1) Howards days of walking round Barnsley on a evening are over. Someone, especially if they have had anything to drink will have hold of the guy. He will have to move away from the area........ASAP 2) The sack Davey brigade will be in full voice and it could get really nasty at the ground. 3) Attension could swing towards the directors...and I can see 'sack the board flags being waved' The supporters need more information than what they have currently received
RE: Under the circumstances we need Howard or Davey or better still both on radio Sheffield, tonight If someone wants to 'get hold' of Howard after all this then they want locking up. Small town mentality.</p> The other 2 points though could well come to fruition. </p>
RE: Under the circumstances we need Howard or Davey or better still both on radio Sheffield, tonight i think you are over exagerating. We all knew that Someday Brian Howard would leave. Most thought he'd have gone before the transfer window. I knew he wasnt playing for the club in his head this season. We all know that something isnt right. He has done more than enough for the club but when a player wants to leave, he must be dropped. You need 11 players on the field who want to wear the shirt of the club. Brian will be ok as long as he doenst sign for the wendies.
RE: Under the circumstances we need Howard or Davey or better still both on radio Sheffield, tonight Do we even have a board to sack?
RE: Under the circumstances we need Howard or Davey or better still both on radio Sheffield, tonight No, not really. We have a benefactor
Howards days of walking round town on a night are over You can more or less quarentee that someone will have a swing at him if he's seen in town now If they are shouting abuse from the Ponti without knowing the full facts then what else could happen Remember - the statement says that he wants to leave - it dosent say Barnsley FC have sold him And to add to this, where is he going to............one of the clubs that is HATED by Barnsley fans
Re: Under the circumstances we need Howard or Davey or better still both on radio Sheffield, tonight I don't really hate Sheff United. I've never seen them as rivals, cos they've been better off than us recently. Same with Rotherham and Chessie.. we've been better off than them. Only see Wednesday and Donny as rivals. I actually hope Rotherham / Chesterfield do well. Is that weird?
There's a difference Between shouting at him from the Ponty and being face to face and calling him a ******.</p> Won't happen, unless some chav's had an alcopop too many. We're also assuming that Howard has chosen where he's going... </p>
You dont think Sheffield United are rivals for support - then you need to go to....... ..............Wombwell railway station before a United home match When we played Sheffield United last season there were as many Sheffield United fans stood waiting for the train as there were Barnsley fans..........and this is in the Barnsley district Of course when we actually got into the Sheffield district.........there were no Barnsley fans We are in direct competition to Sheffield United
sack the board????? How can we sack the board? Realistically, the board is Patrick Cryne, the rest are there to make the numbers up. If Cryne goes, his money goes with him, and Oakwell turns into a housing estate following the resulting administration. If folks start chanting sack the board, then Barnsley folk really are as thick and inbred as the rest of the country already think we are. Although a fit, motivated, fully committed Howard would be nice, we need Cryne more. But if we had a decent manager I doubt things would have got this far.
Or somebody with half a brain could.. ..notice Howard wants to move on, to a bigger club, which he is entitled to. And the club would obviously want to cash in on him now, rather than losing him for **** all in the summer. Change the record YN, and move on.
Wsait and see what Howard has to say. He has agreed to give his side of the story when he has left. The FACTS are that he did not want to leave and the club has gone behind his back. He will tell all soon
Eek Can you back that statement up ?</p> Not calling you or anything, it's just a rather large accusation to make. </p>
RE: sack the board????? if we start with lets sack board cos we've sold a player then that is beyond pathetic and should'nt even enter any 1's mind , they have released a statement to clear things up nudge, saying he refused a new contract and and said he can go for right fee, thats the latest devolopment, what else you want them to say?
Just read this quote from the Star. Dont think they would print if it were'nt true <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12px">But Howard's refusal to commit his future to Simon Davey's side has allowed United to take advantage by offering Barnsley an escape route out of a predicament which could see them lose their most valuable asset for nothing at the end of the season.</span>
RE: Eek The doom mongers would believe that Howard has engineered this, he has not, he could have gone in the close season but he has constantly said he wants to stay at the club. He has spoken his minfd in the dressing room and has been branded a "disruptive" influence. but as i said when he has left the club all will be revealed. And by the way its not money, there are 5 players above Howard in the wages stakes.
IF that's the case, you'd expect the club to keep him here. Even if he's playing reserve team football all season.
Guaranteed Chant on Saturday where losing to the gypos One Brian Howard, theirs only One Brian Howard!!</p> That and 'Davey Out' plus 'You dont know what your doing'</p>
