Going to be the last one this year , shame ,I’ve been a few times and it’s always been great entertainment with some top musicians

I'm not surprised tbh. I went last year stewarding, and there was hardly anyone there. My very first thought when I got there was they can't be making money on it, and festival costs have gone through the roof in recent years.

I’ve never been even though I’ve been a fan of Kate Rusby since she first started out on the folk scene. Festivals are not my thing any more but maybe have a look at this as it’s the last one

The acts just aren’t mainstream enough to attract a crowd.

This is true. Plus as a country/alt country punter they aren't and have hardly ever been good enough.

I don’t know for a small festival they’ve had some decent acts on , Richard Thompson, Mary Chaplin Carpenter, Steve Earle , Proclaimers , Ron Block etc

That is true to a certain extent, but it's been going for a few years now and often I've thought that the line up has been weak for a festival that is a bit niche and ought to be getting me there every year.

Perhaps I'm a bit picky. Or more likely the acts I covet are already dead and nobody told me.

This festival ought to be up my street year after year, and it hasn't been due to the lack of a few headliners.

I went to a few to try to support and I enjoyed an occasional set but couldn’t justify the cost in the longer term. Feels like a missed opportunity
