Sorry all this is understandable. Heckingbottom rightly or wrongly believes he will have more money to spend at Leeds & rightly or wrongly again possibly believes Leeds are a bigger club.
Supporting a team all your life. Constantly living in the shadows of the bigger clubs and teams like 'them'. Going on record saying you hate them. Coming out in the media saying you want players to come here and stay here and not use it as a stepping stone for bigger clubs...... then doing it yourself. Signing a contract 'committing your future to the club' only to get a new agent the next working day and signing for your rivals the day after. Turning your back on a club, town and community who have stuck by you when you have the worst form in the league. Who call you 'one of their own'. Some may call it understandable. I'm sorry i cant. Its bewildering, baffling and makes very little sense.
I agree with your view , but thats exactly how it is in football now..Heckingbottom has just done what they all do in football today, its every man for himself
Reports indicate he is going to earn 30k per week on an 18 month deal. 30,000 x 78 weeks = circa 2.3mn I guess that’s the price of loyalty.
