Has been for weeks yet we plough on regardless plummeting towards League 2 at an alarming rate. When will the penny drop that this manager has not got what it takes?
totally agree. its as if theres a long term plan to be in the vanarama league. its as if there all in it together
How dare you... we are outplaying Port Vale but losing. The happy clappers will look at the positive play and will be more than happy to see us relegated as long as we dominate matches but lose... again and again and again.
I'm sure that Cryne & co are aware of the current situation and know that things aren't going very well for us at the moment. However, the fans wanted Wilson out, Flitcroft out, Hill out (etc), and what good has that done for us? There's absolutely no guarantee that sacking yet another manager would solve our problems. I wouldn't be too sad to see Johnson go though. Not anymore. I had high hopes for him, but right now things just aren't working out for him, and I doubt that we'll see any dramatic change in our performances any time soon either. But when he eventually goes, we better have a good replacement already lined up.
I understand your concern regards another sacking but it must happen and the people higher up the chain must be held accountable
Genuine question (because I partially agree) who do you mean and how do you hold them to account? Like I say, genuine question because something has to give and soon.
Can we afford to sack him? (He's on a long contract isn't he?) Are there any good managers available who might be interested in the job? We need some radical changes I'm afraid. Sacking Johnson and just getting some other guy in might change our course for a few months (which admittedly could be enough for avoiding relegation, but then again things could turn even worse), but without further changes we'd just end up being sh*t again. Like you say, the people higher up the chain must be held accountable, but that sounds like something that isn't easy to do and we won't see any changes over night.
No it wasn't the correct decision. If they showed the same amount of patience then as they have done now we wouldn't be in this mess. The fans didn't want Wilson out, a noisy few did who started the same noise weeks ago. Sacking Johnson has to happen in my own opinion however I take no great joy in saying that, it's a shame it hasn't worked, Wilson should still be manager.
The board are the one's who recruit and ultimately must take responsibility for the mess were in. What criteria do they set out with the selection process? When he was appointed I and others had reservations because what exactly had he achieved at Oldham? Not a lot. Maybe the budget allocated restricted the type of candidate we could attract hence scouring the bargain basement areas
The whole policy at the club needs changing from the ground up, from the manager to the recruitment policy to the academy. Sent from mi bloody iPhone
