Update from the meeting with The Don

    First of all, thanks to everyone for making the effort to come. As always, we can't divulge sensitive information on here at the request of Don however here's a brief summary:

    1. Catering - summat's gonna happen. Did you know we had new caterers in the Exec box? We'll trial getting people in for bar meals one day.
    2. New scoreboard - hopefully do something by next season.
    3. Bar in the Ponty End - still waiting. Not our fault. Licensing. Council etc.
    4. Flitcroft's contract - waiting until end of season, know where we are.
    5. Steele's contract - he's got other options, hopeful he'll stay but we can't afford xxx
    6. Bobby's contract - hopeful.
    7. Season Tickets - we'll announce prices in June and want the money two weeks later.
    8. Ticket prices - we've done our bit, need the fans to come now. No other resource for marketing available. Have you not watched the videos?
    9. John Stones - financially sensible, run on our own two feet, sensible decision, great money, 3rd most expensive 19 year old defender ever.
    10. Takeover - no news. Hopeful.

    I really hope he stays regardless of which division we are playing in next season. But no shock that other clubs are interessted in his services as he's a top keeper. If Alnwick had played against Forest I think we still would be on 50 points...

    Thanks for the update. Not sure why we can't tie Flicker down now. Stay up or go down surely we would still want him and we could offer him different wages now dependent upon the league we are playing in. Bobby will stay but Steele will go anyway I reckon.

    I think everyone is automatically assuming Flicker would want to stay if we go down. I wouldn't be so sure. He now knows he's a top 6 Championship manager. Why would he want to drop back to League 1 and start all over again? I personally think if we go down, he will decide to leave.
