Various payments schemes were also discussed at this time</font></p><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva" /><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva"><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">As a result you will already know Barnsley FC reduced prices by £20.00. This means supporters are now paying less than they paid in 2005.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">Barnsley FC also introduced various payment schemes to help Supporters buy their season tickets.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">2, The Under 11 Child season ticket and its impact. </font><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva"></font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">This had been positive last season. To retain these new Supporters it was agreed to raise the age again this season to Under 12’s on 1<sup>st</sup> August</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">3, Proposed New Youth Facility under the Beckett Stand, where the Supporters Office is currently located. </font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">The Trust were informed on this joint scheme to link in with Barnsley Council to provide a facility for the Youth of Barnsley. The Trust are to have further discussions with the club with a view to utilising this area as a facility as a Supporters Bar on Match days with certain membership restrictions.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">As this progresses further discussions will be held and members/supporters notified</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">4, Continuation of the Junior Schemes, 50/50 ticket scheme, use of the academy on match days and Away Mascots. </font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">These will continue as last season and dates and events will be published as soon as they are available.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">5, Away Supporter/disabled Liaison. </font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">This will continue this season.</font></p><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva" /><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">6, Advertising of Games and events at Oakwell throughout the borough of Barnsley and websites etc. </font></font><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva" /><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">The Trust agreed to try this system through a Volunteer network of co-ordinators.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">7, Regular Monthly meetings with The Trust. </font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">The Club agreed to facilitate these again and it was also agreed to hold a series of Open Meetings. The Trust will organise these and publicise them.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">We have since that meeting being invited to sit on the committee involved with the Open day planning and will assist on the day with a number of the activities.</font></p><p align="left"><font size="3" face="verdana,geneva">As can be seen from the above these meetings are constructive and achieve benefits for ALL Supporters’. Part of this commitment though is to help Barnsley FC to move forward and in particular get more people in to Support them on a regular basis. This needs help on the ground in the form of volunteers to help run and be part of the various schemes. exiled, i drive to most games, just thought, to the clubs benefit that the times i do have a drink, it would be nice to have 1 at the ground and put money into the club at the same time. but that would be too rational.
The club said they were opening a supporters bar but then why would they want folk actually spending money at the ground instead of the mount etc most clubs see supporters bars as a gold mine.
