should have either recovery cd's or some have it where you press an "f" button on boot up.
dont forget to back up any stuff 1st cos it'll be gone

Try, going into safe mode & doing a system restore back before you think the virus attacked the computer.

you may have to buy a good virus remover, if you want to keep it private, or you could take it to a computer shop and ask them if they could remove it. @ what price i don't know.

If you go into safe mode, do a system restore, you could take the computer back several months if you wished.

Take it to a computer shop, or get someone to come out and look at it.

Don't let it get you down, if its only a virus it can be removed :)
To get into the Windows 2000 / XP Safe mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

As Football Agent X as said. Best thing to do would be to have a look on google to see if there are any solutions from searching for the virus there.

If that doesn't work, a system restore to a point when you know you didn't have the virus may work. Make sure you backup your documents first though.

Have you tried using a different virus software to try and get rid of it? Last thing you want to do is have to go through the hassle of formatting and reinstalling stuff.
