Dont know if this will affect any of you but the merger has been announced today. it still needs ratifying by federal goverment here, but in the future if any of you collect airmiles from these companies just keep an eye on your miles as if you collect with both companies you dont want to lose out. when they combine the 2 later in the year
when i flew manchester-chicago they were ok but small planes no legroom. then i tried to get an earlier flight to Baltimore, the plane was only half full but they told me i couldnt change without paying $200 i waited for my schedualed one 2 hours later, which was over booked
I went Manchester - NY and it was like flying budget short haul. And the flight attendant was incredibly rude to a Hindu lady who was just checking whether there was any beef in the meal.
i think it makes a hugh difference if you get a good set of cabin crew. when i came to live here in june 2012, i flew business class(using airmiles im not rich). Flew Manchester-Washigton Dulles. the flight was good but if you ever get to go business do not order a beer. Everyone else had wine, there glasses were getting topped up every few minutes,i wasnt offered another beer, so when the meal came i ordered wine and was then topped up the rest of the flight.
Totally agree. Flew out with them last weekend, food poor and hardly any in flight entertainment. Fly back out tomorrow with BA, back in march so will look to fly out with Continental. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
United continental no longer exists. Kek tyke is it you going to wisconsin i forget. if so theres a hugh snow storm there today expecting about 9-15 inch of snow most of wisconsin but green bay especially
Yes thats me. Currently in deerfield, we have had some rain but no snow yet. Hopefully I won't see any, seen enough snow and ice this week to last a lifetime. Hopefully when I return in march it has warmed up a little and its all gone. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Transylvanian Airlines easily EASILY the worst. Most featured on Aircrash Investigations, bar none. Been in crash position landing at Skipol once. Wouldnt get a health and safety cert in most countries.
I flew Manchester-philladelphia with US airways,i thought they were ok. had a row of seats to myself as the plane was no where near full, they asked me if i wanted to move said yes, laid full length all flight. The best i use to fly USA-UK Are United they fly to Manchester too. direct flights from Washington, which is a huge bonus for me. that flight started last may. And is who i flew in business class with on my previous post,(forgot to say that).
United are good, and I used to like Continental. The wife is from Philadelphia so flew US Airways quite often from Manchester, old planes, often no seat back screens, surly flight attendants and often not on time but that has a lot to do with Philly airport. Try to avoid them if possible these days.
thats the only problem with the united flight to Dulles. old planes and for transatlantic not a lot of legroom.they use the 757-200. Theres been alot of contention about this as the plane is just about on its limit for fuel.and in the event of it getting diverted it may struggle if it had to divert into mainland europe.
