i know its been mentioned before but just been reading gavin strachans blog on the bbc website and hes talking about him getting released from his club this season he mentions about notts county not having a reserve team by saying

The absence of a reserve team at Notts County - a common cost-cutting measure at a lot of clubs - meant that it was hard for any player recovering from injury to regain match fitness, a fact that has been acknowledged by the Notts County management team and something they are looking to address for next season.

so how does davey expect our injured players to get match fit - cant be by training players need to play to get fit and what a about trailist ive heard him mention they'll be having behing closed doors friendly but this again seems a bit pointless

We dont need players to play matches to get fit tho`

Thats why we have Sports technologists etc. apparently rthey can get a player match fit by not playing matches (seestars) (seestars)

Yeh, it's amazing what decent sports scientists can do to move out of the dark ages.
