***** rule, bolt does a false start and he is still in, the brit did and he is out, the yank jumped the gun also yet he wasnt disqaulified, utter ****** /poo /poo /poo
Yeh the American was just as quick out and got nothing said, wish Usain would really go for it though.
It is a ***** rule and they are changing it From next year 1 false start and you are out - which to be honest is a much more sensible rule Dont know why the other guy didnt get disqualified though The bit I have a problem with with the rule is its a false start if you react within 0.1s ( I think though my have the wrong number) of the gun you are deemed to have false started - so if you are super quick you can false start on the gun I think I remember Linford Christie proving he could react faster than was deemed possible a few years ago
RE: I think that was Colin Jackson You might be right - I thought it was Linford but not 100% sure could have been Colin Jackson - just know someone proved it under lab conditions
Tyrone Edgar Is either a brilliant actor or I think fell foul of this rule by being too quick to react. At the time he was amazed and still cant believe it. Just seen his interview He must know if he guessed the start - I really do wonder if the rection time thing needs to be looked at
Are you thinking about Linford Christie in the Olympic final? When he was 100th of a second outside the reaction time or something?
This is interesting on the IAAF site http://www.iaaf.org/development/studies/issue/newsid=52378.html Looks like they have concluded that 100ms is too long and are probably going to change it when they bring in the 1 start rule If we find Edgar started at say 95ms after the gun I think some injustice has been done
