Small club attitude. Shepherd would be ideal for running Doncaster Rovers - because that is clearly what he sees us as.
When we got relegated to the first division it was an appauling shock to the system and a disgrace. It clearly jarred with the perception most fans had at that time of who we were and where we belonged in the larger scheme of things. Instead of bouncing back immediately with our heads held high, it took us years of toil to get out. In that period of time we have somehow forgotten who we are and our expectations of championship football have somehow turned to ambitions of championship football. We got 'promoted' (back to where we belong), more by luck than judgement, and the club is now being run as a going concern belonging to the first division, resigned to defeat and relegation.
FOR feckS SAKE THIS CANNOT CONTINUE. There is no sustainable future for Barnsley F.C.in the lower leagues. I really can't see a long term future for the club if we don't make decision and ambitious changes this season. So far Shepherdhas been one let down after another. He is not the man to guide the club to security, and neither is Davey. They haven't got the imagination, the creativity,or the determination to make ithappen.
