It's because the opposition are better than us. Either on the day or in general. It's difficult for any manager to counteract a squad of players better than his own. Sometimes we lose because, although the teams are equally matched, they get a bit of luck and we don't. Sometimes we lose when we're by far the better team, but the opposition fluke one.

None of that applied today. The only reason we lost today was because of our manager.

We've got a good young keeper at Barnsley. His name is Adam Davies. I can't remember a serious error he has ever made. We've also got a perennial calamity who makes mistake after mistake after mistake, who costs us on a weekly basis, but for reasons known only to Lee Johnson, is our number one choice. - It's ******* barmy Lee, stop it, right ******* now.

Every single person in the ground could have told you the problem today. We were dominating possession, to the point where Crewe could barely get out of their half, and we were creating chances, but as we only had one up front, the Crewe defence could double up on Winnall and render us impotent. The simple solution is to bring on another forward. We could have taken off our keeper and three of our defenders and still only allowed them one shot at goal in that second half.

Last week Lee, you made one of the most suicidal triple substitutions I've ever heard of in the history of football. This week, at home to the bottom of the league, against a side who have no aspirations to get out of their half, never mind score a goal, you wait until the 80th minute to bring on a second striker. It's not just that this kind of decision isn't good enough for a team at this level of football, it's that it displays a level of incompetence way beyond someone fortunate enough to find themselves in the position you are in. If that's all you've got Lee, then you've got to leave because you're letting us down more than anyone with your integrity should allow. It's just not good enough, it's nowhere ******* near.

Jay, as much as I want to agree with you as I have had enough of Johnson, Adam Davies made shocking errors against MK Dons last season and Shrewsbury this.

Townsend is poor and overweight but Davies is far from faultless.

For me if the players aren`t the problem, then it has to be the Head Coach. He needs to buck his ideas up and sharpish. Davies not being No 1 is a head scratcher and so was Lewin at left back earlier in the season.

I agree with all of that

Hoping Chelseas money in January allows Patrick to leave and take his Johnson with him. Time, long time overdue that we had a fresh start.

You're one of the more level headed posters on here and even you are starting to see that we have a manager who is out of touch with reality. It's the 3rd division and LJ thinks he's Pep Guardiola in the Champs League.

I lost count the number of times the defence moved forward. Looking for a player. It either went sideways or to a midfielder who then did the same.

    The reason.

Simple. There was nothing in front of him.

That's what you get trying to play with one up.

I have heard LJ openly talk about preparation. Looking at opposition and giving players the info on strengths and weaknesses and how we can exploit it.

I would be most interested if they have a post match assessment and more to the point if what LJ has given them was correct.

Oh and I've just seen there 2nd goal. Change of keeper has to happen. Whilst a deflection that should have been stopped......

My friend Mark thoroughly enjoyed your company today, mate. So much so that he's hoping to attend the home match with Walsall.

he keeps saying the team are young and inexperienced and will make mistakes and be inconsistent. I think that also stands for him.

Someone at the club needs to grab him and shake the silly arse until he snaps out of this trance he's in, where he thinks what the team is churning out is good. Every game i've seen us win i've still walked away thinking it could so easily have gone the other way and not really been entertained. Only the Everton game have i seen the passion, guile, drive and excitement.

The play is predictable, lacking tempo and lacking that drive to move forward. The players are so laid back in the their slow build up they have almost forgot they have more gears- even when trailing in the last 5 mins we were still tapping it about.

We should be set up to use our technical players to zip balls around and release wingers down bomb alley time after time after time - launching in crosses first time at pace with both winall and smith waiting to lap them up. We'd score a ******* bag full im sure! And if the defence keep their line and a midfield protect them we'd not let too many in either. its not chuffing hard!

So why is he persisting with this tip tap ****** - its because hes a space cadet. He has this perfect picture of what he wants but we dont have the players able to execute it at this level.

    Get a grip johnson.

Agree - Johnson could have taken off ANY of the defensive players. It wouldn't have made a bit of difference, yet he takes off our most dangerous threat in Harris. Ridiculous.

Don't see why we've signed this Smith lad if he's only going to get ten minutes here and there. Appalling management.

I care I get grumpy. Tonight I'm just happy to have escaped Oakwell for a week or two. Was discussing with the lads we go with and my brother whether we will bother next season if it goes on in this vein and it was a pretty unanimous no.

A very strange thing happened to me today when crewe scored the winner. For the first time i wasn't even bothered.

7 of us go out every home game, 5 of us have season tickets, i was the only one that went to the game.

If it wasn't for the fact that my 9ys old son love's watching tarn i think i would be making the same decision.

I hate to admit it it but apathy has set in.

I'm of the firm opinion that the only factor that will influence internal opinion on his performance will be financial ones e.g. Dwindling gates.
