I think that was ridiculous & harsh, was it because one of the opposing players committed an offence in the penalty area? That shouldn't have counted, it's spoiling the game & maybe the ref could have used common sense.
I like winning as much as the next person but I’d have been tempted to pass the ball back to the goalie or hit it wide.
I think I’d have just tapped it back to the keeper, or out for a throw in. Unless it was against Wednesday....
I know, proper sh1thousery. Not sure if it’s the best course of action after previously screwing a shot wide but what do I know.
Probably the most bizarre decision ever. Booking maybe at worst. Edit It’s in the rules so I assume it was a member of the defending team. What’s the rule if it was a member of the attacking team?
Free kick from in the box. Had the player commited the offence closer to the corner flag it would have just been a free kick
Why were those players behind the goal and stood where they were, literally inches from the pitch i thought the sub warm up areas were on your side of the dugout , and it was a designated area and you could only warm up along the side of the pitch and there was Max number of 2 or maybe 3 players could warm up at one time there appears to be at least 5 of them . To play devils advocate what if one of them had been standing close to the goalpost and moved his boot a few inches onto the pitch and tapped a shot going wide or which was going to hit the post into the net and the ref didn't see it happen.
