    I think most of this stuff at this time of year is agent-speak. In this case it would be something like: "I signed a three-year contract with West Ham, which was only just a bit more than what I was on at Barnsley, because I was bought in to warm the bench and score a few goals late on, if needed. I have been the key to the promotion drive and my contract now looks paltry against what I have proved I am worth. So, I will look at other possibilities for better contracts, unless West Ham are prepared to improve the current one." Or soemthing like that. Who can blame him?
