Was talking to a couple of the Lads last night about The Verve and The Oasis and who was the better of the 2, i said Verve, they both said Oasis, who do you think.
RE: Both in 1995 but neither for me now Both excellent but decided on Oasis. Still listen to both regular
I still listen to Definately maybe and Urban Hymns but not a fan of bands who just keep reproducing the same stuff. Speaking of Brit pop era though I listened to Manics, Everything Must Go and Pulp Different Class the other day, absolutely brilliant
Masterplan was an album of b-sides (says alot though doesnt it! - masterplan is right up there with my all time Oasis songs!) Come on windy going to start another poll on listening to a decent band etc?
I know it was. i've got all the singles in the B&H box sets they did. some of the b sides are excellent - fade away, rocking chair -class
Add to that Listen Up, It's Good To Be Free, and Headshrinker! Cant wait to see Oasis next month - no matter what anyone thinks of them - they are the band that i deem the soundtrack to my life! Awesome, indifferent and average!
Both **** My Dad likes Urban Hymns and Oasis's early stuff and he's 55 Tells you all you need to know
I tell you summet, i bought Q magazine other day (Liam cover) read the 50 page special all way from Donny back upto Newcastle. Liam G is an absolute star, two blokes opposite must have wondered what was tickling me, the boy is 100% comedy gold, had tears rolling down my face. Great interviews As Q says, the world is a hell of a duller place without them. Its not all about pretentious up your ar*e ground breaking msic you know, they are what they are and people love em, and yes they haven't changed and their obvious two classics seem decades ago, but they still make good ballsey rock n roll and sometimes thats all you need! And as for mad Richard and the Verve, peas in a pod mate. Oasis and Verve fans are same people end of! NORTHERN ROCK! Couple of gems from the youngest Gallagher: On getting banned from Cathay Pacific Airlines: "Fu*kin right i'd do it again, i paid for the fecking seats.Everyone else got a scone, why was i singled out? All the roadies, i had 20 seats on that fu*king flight. But little me didn't get any.Its not fair, i wanted a fu*king scone and i stuck up for myself" On his favourite cartoon, SpongeBob Square Pants: "He's a fu*king mental, full of beans, enthusiastic sponge that lives at the bottom of the sea in Bikini Bottom. He's mad for it.He's got a mate called Squidward who plays the clarinet and he is a grumpy lovely person like our kid" lol
Not heard A Northern Soul then kid?? assuming you meant Urban Hymns of course. You like Lennon? Just got a bit of #9 Dream on, Lennon was the man
You see i've noticed that's often a comment from lets say our more mature music listeners I was 15 when Oasis broke, now tell me you ain't gonna hang on a lad like thats every word The Messiah
