personally, I really hoped burns would stay, player of the year so far for me.. but, I have a real sour taste in my mouth now...

I hope, he gets injured in his first appearance, completely knackers himself up and doesn't make the first team as well as the world cup. We get promoted he begs to come back and we tell im to **** off.

Its becoming less and less often that loyalty is a word assosiated with football these days. Unless of course if your called shuker.

I have no problem with howard being replacement, as he showed everyone his capabilities on sat, but I am concerned that he won't be as affective in breaking up play and leaving the back 4 a little bit exposed as to what burns did for us.

but I am prepared to be wrong on that part though, as I think he is worth a place in the side.

Why should a footballer be any more loyal

than any other worker? It's a short career which will be finished by the time he's 36 so in the interest of his family and any ambitions he has, he had no option but to accept a move to a bigger club. They'll pay him more than we did and he'll be in the Champions League squad next season. What's he supposed to do? No thanks I'd rather play in the English 3rd Division on a lower salary. Get Real. As for fans loyalty, it's only 7 or 8 years ago we averaged 18,000 now we're down to 9,000. So 50% of Barnsley fans have stopped coming to Oakwell.

burns has been honest with Barnsley

hasnt said he would stay. was under contract while the end of the season and the club have chosen to let him go. your comments wishing him hard times are small minded and petty.

And Colgan has been player of the season so far imho

Okay... I think that was a pretty damn stupid thing to say, but whatever.

It has nothing to do with loyalty. How can you expect an Australian player who has no connection with Barnsley to be that loyal to us anyway? If you got a great new job offer with better wages and everything, I don't think you'd turn it down either...

I certainly hope that Jacob does well in Poland and wish him all the best for the rest of his career. :)

Heh, maybe you shouldn't post when you're so pissed off. (H)

Anyway, I'm not angry at Jacob, just a bit disappointed (of course) because we've lost a great player.
I'm sure it was a difficult decision for him too, so I hope it turns out to be a good decision, hopefully for all of us.

    to be honest...

I am at work, and to blurt out

**** 8ugger @rsehole t1t c0ck f@rt at full blast would probably go down as well as my initial statement.

My way of veting my frustration without losing my job. So even though it raised eyebrows, thanks for that, it saved my job, but probably upset 1 or 2 on here. Which I can live with as it wouldn't be the first time.

    (hidebehindsofa)

can I come back out now please?
