Very entertaining first half

England look dangerous when they attack with pace. When they hold the ball then give it away cheaply they look worse than BFC

 

Really enjoyed it.

I thought our goal was sensational. People always go mental about long shots in to the top corner. I like to see good football. The pass to Rooney was perfect, the cross from Rooney was, if it's possible, even better than perfect. The positioning and finish from Sturridge superb. Football at its best that.

Very unlucky not to be winning in my opinion, but we do look a bit dodgy at the back.

Agreed, great goal. We need to try that again and again, other times we are just slow

 

To be fair I thought the first 5 mins was the most positive 5 mins I've seen for years, Roony apart I think we've looked good, apart from the cross of course.

 

1) we don't have anyone sorting out Pirlo and he is giving us major problems.
2) Our left hand side is open - wide open - like a swing door.
3) we look good on the break, but we aren't retaining possession nor are we controlling the game when we need a breather

I think we will concede again in the second half, if we don't make changes. This is a winnable game, and looking at Uruguay and Costa Rica, we really need to avoid thinking a draw is enough.

 

Like watching any Barnsley home match from last season that second half. Opposition take the lead and then defend, we huff and puff but just don't have anywhere near enough quality to break them down.

Really disappointing after what I thought was a good performance in the first half. It's extremely depressing to see players picked for their country who put a corner straight in to the stand as Rooney did and a cross straight in to the stand as Johnson did. They really should be better than that.
