    ...yet.

He's on very thin ice no doubt, however, we need to at some point change our ways.

However, I'm more worried now that they're sticking with him to save face than they think it's the right thing to do...

    We're properly, royally f.cked IMHO.

It's the only reason isn't it?

The manager isn't the major problem (although, in this case, he might be part of the problem).

It's got to be. I don't think for a minute they've done it because they're in the business of giving managers time, they know that if they sack him that all attention is going to go straight to them. And quite f.cking rightly.

Pleased to see he's not been sacked?

The club is a shambles from top to bottom.

Wouldn't trust em to run Athersley Rec!

Yup, plus the 'I won't sack another manager' thing, and all the ballacks that was spouted when they sacked Wilson which will be revisited. By me for starters, they can be damn ******* sure of that.

This was always going to happen. Once club legend and respected manager Danny Wilson 'failed', people finally started to twig that managers weren't the main problem.

I think PC will live to regret saying that. Mansford's face was a picture. It's totally put him in a lose-lose position.

So essentially they can't win? They sack him, and they've not given someone enough time or stuck with a long term plan

Don't sack him, and they've only done it to save face.

    We're definitely royally ****** then.

That's the gist of it for me! DW and before got the boot for far worse records and league positions. I think the PC 'he'll be my last appointment'
and the clubs 'we need a long term plan' statements will make them look rather silly if they back track! A 2+ years worth of contract to pay out?!? I think they'll stick it out. But ........... let's see.

Thing for me..... Young team, I could take losing 3-2 every game with a youthful side going for it but been naive at the back making mistakes etc. But it isn't that! It's mundane ******! Big decisions ahead

Oh I'll be all over it. However, if I get chance to speak to him I'll also be asking about the dead fish eyes & the 'don't let us be dragged down to relegation' stuff too.

They never wanted Wilson. They appointed him to appease some supporters and it's now being proved as they've shifted the goalposts considering their man Johnson's league position.

    And to reiterate, we're f.cked.

What if Cryne firmly believes Johnson is the right man to lead us and conversations they've had that none of us are privy to, have resulted in him being told he has Cryne's support?

What if they've realised that a youth only transfer policy hasn't worked as hoped and that's why they're clearing the decks to help with recruitment?

In what way are they clearing the decks?

Clearing the decks might be extreme, but Rothwell and Crowley having their loans terminated creates space to bring replacements in doesn't it?

Osgrove being a like for like replacement for Harris.

If he does firmly believe that then absolutely - I'm waiting to be proved wrong.

However, what decks have been cleared?

We won't be relegated the problem is the youth resale plan set by Ben is a **** plan and needs be re thought out again to include some experienced players and coaching staff.
In Jan hopefully we spend some money get out of trouble and put this terrible season behind us.

But you're speaking like what you're saying is already the case? When in fact you're purely speculating. See other comment re: desks being cleared.

So replacing inexperienced young players borrowed from other clubs with other inexperienced young players borrowed from other clubs?

    A seismic shift in policy.

Both were recalled by their parent clubs, we didn't send them back.
