    Give them a ring now,

it could be that they said to ring after a certain time and, because you were uptight at having to take your dog in, you thought they said they would ring you.

Did they say they would ring you?.

At our place, we ask the client to give us a call about 2pm to check that ops went ok. Usually, if it's something bad, or complicated then the vet would try to contact the client before that.
