The IPod touch looks really nice but I despise Apple for the config issues. I want something that looks nice, decent screen like you get with the Ipod touch, and that allows you to drag and drop avi/mpg/mp3 etc that can be done without installing its own software.

I've been told about Achos ( http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=57M8&fb=112#imagegallery ) which look nice but way out of my price range.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

I like the creative zens, though I'm not sure which are still being made

How much you looking to spend?

Really magnificent with a FM radio and best screen for film playback. Sound as good as you can get. Second choice would be an Archos

Mine is spot on for music, and the video playback isn't bad, but I have had problems getting some videos to work.

That said, I'm much more interested in the music side of mine, so I can't complain

    RE: Cowon S9

Thanks guys, I'd seen a few Cowons but never heard of them. Mind you, until an hour since I'd never heard of Archos They were out of my price range though.
