yeah a little bit mate, just watched all 24 minutes, most of what is said is on the official shíte news page. Most of his "matchday experience" changes are being looked into and should be implemented. its just his honesty that brings a lump to my throat everytime!! couple of funny bits... watching barry taylor getting more and more bored as the press conference goes on... he even starts tapping his fingers at one point... the frown on flickers face when one of the press' boys phone goes off.... but i think most of it has been covered all day on twitter/audioboo/and on websites...
Quite different yes, more formal. Baz Taylor is a bit annoying pouring over the freshly signed contracts, rustling about, his usual no-nonsense self. Nice that Mickie and Martin get their say. Imet Martin Scott at Boro, great bloke. Hugged me, that was 2 hours before kickoff!!
Just watched all 24 minutes on Player after listening to Paul Walker's 17 minute long interview on audioboo (my other half is delighted with how the early weekend is progressing ;-)) and the content is similar in both, though obviously Mellon and Scott get to say a few words in the conference. One thing I picked up on in the Paul Walker interview was Flicker saying that the three of them have been scouring the North West and "as far down as Coventry" in their quest for new recruits. Now, is that just a place quoted at random to emphasise the distances they're travelling or are we after someone from Coventry? If so, who?
Just watched it. It was decent stuff. I think Mickey is a manager in his own right, and Martin had a bash at Hartlepool I think. They're obviously key to what we've achieved, and what we're going to. It was good to hear Flicker bigging up the supporters again, and let's hope Mark Stokes' initiatives work. We need more bums on seats. This group deserve it. We who sat through the ***** pre-Flicker, certainly deserve it.
The way I heard that I thought Flicker was referring to the mileage they've put in trying to get the out of contract players to sign, and when he mentioned Coventry I assumed Cranie must live there.
Richard Wood? Big centre half at the end of his contract at Coventry City, formerly of Sheffield Wednesday? Or, paying a visit to Martin Cranie's home to try to get him to re sign? Pure guesswork on my part and probably unadulterated gibberish.
Re: Richard Wood? Richard Wood. Gerrim in! That's the third time I've mentioned him now, so sorry for that. But it beats banging on about Nya bloody tanga.
No idea. Just going on what Flicker said on Player. He made reference to Mark Stokes being on with some initiatives.
