Enjoyed that clip mate, always like seeing the old Steam Trains.... They always seem to have that Air of romance about them....
Saw them at Dodworth and then again 15 mins later Going over the viaduct from Penistone Station. Fantastic sight on a glorious sunny day.
my 4 year old train fanatic grandson was over the moon seeing the steamer in brighouse, thank gl'red for details
Help needed Want to take my grandson on a proper steam train. How do you get to know about these specials, and when they run, costs etc Cheers in advance.
Thanks Crystal I'll have a look at that. I saw the train yesterday completely by accident, as I can see the line from my window.
Good footage, both locos owned by Ian Riley, based at East Lancs Railway in Bury, main line steam runs are fairly dear but you do get a lot of mileage, preserved lines such as Keighley and Worth Valley, East Lancs, North Yorks moors are a great alternative but nothing beats a good run on the main line
Try this its closer as well http://www.kirkleeslightrailway.com/content/home.php lovely little railway. (Y) (Y)
RE: Good footage, both locos owned by Ian Riley, based at Try this place. Not too expensive and great fun. Me, Harry and the kids are going on the Scarborough run again this year. Its fascinating to see all the people waving at you as you steam past - and I mean ALL the people from station platforms, bridges, level crossings, backs of shops, houses, everywhere the train passes. Not to mention the people who spend the entire journey with their heads out of the window and arrive at Scarborough in need of a very good wash. Mrs Hough http://www.railwaytouring.co.uk/
