Arrests following Vieira burglary Vieira left Arsenal to join Juventus for £13.7m last summer Police have arrested five people suspected of being involved in a burglary at the French Riviera home of Juventus midfielder Patrick Vieira. Police scientists say gas was pumped into the air conditioning system to keep Vieira and his family asleep while they stole jewellery and a Mercedes. Five people suspected of involvement in the theft were arrested in Nice on Wednesday morning, police said. The car, with British plates, was found in Nice on Sunday. Vieira is now in the Alpine resort of Tignes at a pre-World Cup training camp with the France squad after being passed fit after a health check. Vieira spent nine seasons at Arsenal before signing for Juventus last summer and has won 84 caps for his country.
