Virgin Cable problems. Are you running slow and losing your connection?

    Just been on to them. Apparently there's a signal strength issue following the outage and it's causing PCs and modems to fall out. If you lose your connectiontry this -</p>

    Turn off your PC. </p>

    Poweroff your modem and router.</p>

    Power on the modem and wait for the cable light to stabilise.</p>

    Power on the router and wait for it to stabilise.</p>

    Turn on your PC.</p>

    (Obviously if you're not wireless just miss the router bits out.)</p>

    If you still have a problem you might need to speak to them and they'll lead you through a load of stuff I can't remember. That should fix it. Mine hasn't dropped out now f</p>

    I had to reset my cable modem and router yesterday ....

    .... I assumed it was my router that had hung as it worked OK afterwards but maybe it was Virgin themselves.
